Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)

Automotive SPICE is a domain-specific variant of the international standard ISO / IEC 15504 (SPICE). The purpose of Automotive SPICE is to evaluate the performance of the development processes of suppliers in the automotive industry.

The Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) is the owner of the automotive SPICE brand in the USA, the European Union and Switzerland.

Automotive SPICE was developed by the Automotive Special Interest Group (AUTOSIG) in 2001, including the automotive manufacturers Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and Volkswagen as well as international automotive manufacturers and interest groups such as Fiat, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo , The SPICE User Group and the Procurement Forum.

The German automotive manufacturers Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and Volkswagen have agreed on a common scope of the minimum processes to be considered in an assessment within the framework of the HIS (manufacturer initiative for software). Since January 1, 2007, the members of HIS only accept AUTOMOTIVE-SPICE assessments for their joint project-development with their suppliers.

OVOX helps you design your processes so that they are AUTOMOTIVE-SPICE compliant and advises you on how to achieve the required SPICE level during an assessment. In addition, OVOX advises and educates your employees on the application of the AUTOMOTIVE-SPICE guidelines in their daily work.
